Depths and Horizons
Depths and Horizons is an immersive, multisensory dance performance created for adults with and without a visual impairment. It invites the audience to enter a world that goes beyond seeing - where sound, touch, scent, and movement form the language of the experience. The performance challenges traditional ways of perceiving dance: instead of watching it from a distance, participants are invited to feel, sense it and move gently along.
The audience participates in pairs, either with a friend, partner, or assistant. In each pair, one participant experiences the performance without sight, guided by their partner through a series of different sensory moments, where subtle movements, tactile sensations, and soundscapes awaken the imagination.
Each participant remains safely within their personal space throughout the experience and can choose how actively they wish to move or engage. During the performances natural scents and edible scenography for awakening the taste are used.
